February Happenings

Tony and I had the wonderful opportunity for a quick weekend trip to Redlands, CA over Valentine's day weekend. While the trip was short, it was so perfect. We had such a fabulous time and wanted so badly to stay another day. My grandparents and aunt live in Redlands and my parents flew from Michigan to meet us there. On Friday night my grandfather took us to the annual Watchorn Dinner for the Lincoln Memorial Shrine where he is a docent. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and a fascinating lecture about "The Madness of Mary Lincoln". The topic was interesting and the speaker was engaging. It was a nice night together.

The highlight of the trip was going to the Redlands temple. It was so incredible to be in the temple with my future husband, my parents, my grandmother, and my aunt. I felt so close and connected with them and it was a very special day for all of us.

Taste the happy Tony!!! Haha.. I love this picture.

After going to the temple my parents took Tony and me to In & Out burger. Yummm.. and then we took advantage of the sunny skies and beautiful weather by going for a walk in a nearby park surrounded by orange groves and palm trees.

The next day was Valentine's Day and I spent it with Tony on a plane back to Portland. He thoroughly spoiled me for Valentine's this year. I'm one lucky, lucky girl! :)
